A well known Woodstock accountant has pleaded guilty in a historic sex assault case. 64-year-old Gerald Wormald pleaded guilty today to one count of gross indecency, and will spend just 90-days in jail, to be served on weekends. Allegations came forward earlier this year from victims who claim Wormald touched them when they were teenaged boys back in the 1970's and 80's. Victim impact statements from those accusers were read in court today. The three victims that have come forward, reported similar stories of Wormald attempting to trade money, drugs, and even employment in exchange for sexual favours. Wormald was also dealt 1-years probation, will submit a DNA sample, and he will join the National Sex Offender Registry. Wormald has been active in the Woodstock community professionally, sitting on the Woodstock Library Board, and WDDS.
