The UTRCA expects water levels to continue to rise over the weekend.
WOODSTOCK - The warmer temperatures and precipitation are causing concern.
The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority expects water levels to continue rising over the weekend and into early next week due to runoff from rain and melting snow. Peak flows in upstream areas of the Thames River watershed, which includes Woodstock.
People should stay out of any flooded areas and not drive through flooded roadways. Caregivers are reminded to keep children and pets away from the water and off the ice, and to avoid taking shelter along riverbanks or in low-lying areas prone to flooding.
