In an exclusive interview with Heart FM, Education Minister Stephen Lecce stated he hopes to announce more school boards who can return to in class learning next week.
WOODSTOCK - Education Minister Stephen Lecce joined Cody Hayward for an exclusive interview this afternoon.
In the interview, Minister Lecce discusses the following:
- The changes kids and teachers will notice when students return to class next week in the TVDSB and the LCDSB.
- Lecce opens up about mental health in his family and how the mental health and wellbeing of our children factor into the decision to get students back in class.
- He talks about how quickly things can change based on the numbers, pointing out that he himself had egg on his face coming out of the holiday break when he first stated students would return, only to come out three days later saying schools would remain closed.
- Lecce says he hopes to announce more school boards who can return to in class learning next week and they are working hard to ensure all students are back in class by February 8th, however they will continue to follow the advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Health.
