Joe Biden is about to become the 46th President of the United States.
WASHINGTON - Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will be sworn in as the next President and Vice President of the United States today.
The inauguration ceremony will take over Washington, with the Oath of Office scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
Biden will become the 46th President of the United States and Harris will become the first woman and first person of colour to serve as Vice President.
The city is on edge following the Capitol riot two weeks ago, but the U.S. Secret Service says it's prepared for today's ceremony.
There are reports that Biden is planning to end construction on the Mexico border wall, revoke the approval of the Keystone XL pipeline and rejoin the Paris Climate Accord once he takes over the White House.
