The next Oxford County Quarter Auction is set to benefit Team Shan.
WOODSTOCK - The next Oxford County Quarter Auction is set to benefit Team Shan.
The doors at the Moose Family Center will open at 6:15pm tonight and the auction itself will start at 7pm.
Lorna Larsen, the President of Team Shan explains how quarter auctions will work.
"Participants actually pay a small admission fee which gets their paddle for the auction and then they can purchase quarters and bid on various items that different vendors from the area will have for auction and the proceeds will be going to Team Shan."
Larsen says Team Shan was created 10 years ago, in memory of her daughter Shanna Larsen.
"Shan was only 24 when she lost her life to breast cancer. In her memory Team Shan was established to help young women understand their breast cancer risk and breast health information."
Team Shan has orchestrated multiple breast cancer education and awareness campaigns in Oxford County throughout the decade.
