Brant OPP impounded two vehicles for 14-days and issued the drivers 30-day licence suspensions.
BRANT - Two drivers were caught going 50 kilometres per hour over the limit within 20 minutes of each other in Brant County.
Yesterday around 10 p.m., an officer with Brant County OPP initiated a traffic stop on Brant-Oxford Road, while another officer stopped a vehicle on Highway 403.
A 22-year-old Brant County resident was travelling more than 130 kilometres per hour in an 80 kilometres per hour zone, while a 23-year-old from Ottawa was caught going 160 kilometres per hour in a posted 100 zone.
Brant OPP impounded two vehicles for 14-days and issued the drivers 30-day licence suspensions.
They were each charged with stunt driving and speeding in excess of 50 kilometres per hour over the speed limit, while the Ottawa resident received an additional charge for failing to provide their insurance card.
The drivers are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford at a later date.
