The second round of the PJHL playoffs are about to get underway for all four Oxford County teams.
PJHL - The playoffs continue to roll on in the Provincial Junior Hockey League as all four Oxford County teams gear up for the second round.
Up first, it will be the battle of Highway 59 as the Woodstock Navy Vets take on their archrival, Norwich Merchants, in one of the Doherty Division Semifinals. The Vets and Merchants met 6 times in the regular season, with the series being split three games apiece. Norwich outscored Woodstock 23-22 in those 6 games, and two went to overtime. Next, the Tavistock Braves will take part in the other Doherty Division Semifinal against the Wellesley Applejacks. The Braves went 2-4 against the Applejacks in the regular season, outscored 20-19. Lastly, in the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans will battle the North Middlesex Stars in the Division Semifinal. Through 6 regular season match-ups, the Trojans managed three wins and three losses against the Stars. In the season series, Thamesford held the goal advantage 22-21.
