Woodstock police seized approximately $1500 of crack cocaine and cash during a recent drug bust in the city. Police were investigating the trafficking of crack cocaine which lead to the arrest of 51 year-old Melanie Franklin of Woodstock on July 13th, 2012. However, a further police investigation into the matter lead to the arrest of two more parties. 25 year-old Alisha Ekeli of Thamesford and 20 year-old Raj Kirubananhan of London were both arrested and charged on Thursday. Ekeli has been charged with two counts of Fail to Comply, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking. Kirubananhan faces one count of Fail to Comply, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, and one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
