A 32 year old man from Woodstock was taken into custody and given a laundry list of charges surrounding the robbery of the T.A. Travel Centre.
WOODSTOCK - Police were sent on a search for a suspect last evening after being notified that the T.A. Travel Centre had been robbed.
Wearing a white mask, the suspect pulled a knife out and demanded cash from the lone employee.
After leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled the scene in a grey sedan.
Both the Woodstock Police and Oxford OPP collaborated in searching for the suspect around 7:50 p.m. last night.
Within about 10 minutes, the suspect was located in the King Street area of Ingersoll.
After investigating police arrested 32 year old Nicolas Calhoun of Woodstock, and charged him with several offences;
- Robbery with Weapon
- Theft Under $5,000 of a motor vehicle
- Disguise with Intent
- 2 Counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
- Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle
