SWPH says over 71 percent of the cases were under the age of 18.
SWPH - Over 300 cases of measles have now been reported in the Southwestern Public Health region.
In it's latest outbreak report, the health unit reported 18 new cases in Oxford, Elgin and Middlesex in the last week. This brings the total number of cases to 306 since the outbreak began in October, 2024.
Over 71 percent of the cases were under the age of 18.
Close to 84 percent were unvaccinated, 2.6 percent had received one dose of the measles vaccine, and 5.3 percent were fully vaccinated with two doses. Those with unknown immunization status accounted for 8.3 percent.
