STRATFORD - A senior from Wellesley has given a new meaning to Dodge Ram, after ramming his truck into a person and a trailer multiple times on purpose.
Police say the 73 year old driver had gotten into an argument with a man on Regent Street on Friday. Things escalated and the 73 year reversed his Dodge Ram pickup truck directly at the victim. The victim was hit, but was able to get out of the way to avoid serious injuries. The senior then drove his truck at a trailer belonging to the victim multiple times. This caused significant damage to the trailer.
The 73 year old left the scene before police arrived. They eventually caught up with him on Saturday in Perth South. The man was arrested and charged with Assault with a Weapon, Mischief over $5,000 and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
He will have his day in court on June 7.
