The U.S. Coast Guard says it lost contact with the vessel yesterday
A search and rescue mission is underway to find a submarine that went missing yesterday during an expedition to the Titanic.
The Canadian and US Coast Guards started looking for the vessel after losing contact with it yesterday morning.
Officials say it has a 96 hour oxygen supply.
The submarine was reported overdue about 700 kilometres south of St. John's.
Since 2021, OceanGate Expeditions has been operating annual trips to the wreckage of the boat.
