Only patients and visitors who are experiencing respiratory symptoms and/or have a fever will be required to mask up at the Woodstock Hospital, Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, and Alexandra Hospital in Ingersoll.
WOODSTOCK/TILLSONBURG/INGERSOLL - The local hospitals have updated their masking policies.
As of yesterday, the Woodstock Hospital is only requiring patients to wear a mask if they have a fever or respiratory symptoms and they're in a waiting room where they can't practice social distancing.
Visitors are being encouraged to mask up in waiting areas and they shouldn't visit the hospital if they're symptomatic, unless it's an extenuating circumstance. If that's the case, wearing a mask will be mandatory.
Meanwhile starting tomorrow, Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital and Alexandra Hospital in Ingersoll will no longer require patients and visitors to wear masks unless they are symptomatic and/or have a fever.
This is in accordance with the latest COVID-19 guidelines from Public Health Ontario.
The Woodstock Hospital, Alexandra Hospital, and TDMH will continue to have masks available at their entrances.
