Time is running out if you are thinking about picking your own strawberries in Oxford County.
Embro- Picking your own strawberries can be a fun adventure for the entire family.
As berry season winds down, there are a few local farms in Oxford County that are still offering ready picked and pick your own strawberries.
Wendy Fleming from Fleming Farm says they got lucky with their crop this year.
"Typically berry season runs from about mid June, to around July 1st, give or take a few days, however our season this year has run a little longer and we are still open for ready picked and pick your own."
Time is running out though, so if you are thinking about picking your own strawberries in Oxford County, you shouldn't wait any longer, as they will close up any day.
Fleming says the feedback on their crop is really good this time around, adding that the best part about pickling your own is the sampling.
"We do allow people to sample in the field, you should know what you are picking. We typically have a couple of varieties open for pick your own at any given time and we often let people taste the different varieties that are available and they can chose what they like the best."
For only $2 per quart, you can pick your own and fill it up as much as possible.
