Everyone is invited to Roth Park on Sunday for the Wags and Whiskers Walk-A-Thon for Oxford County Animal Rescue.
WOODSTOCK - The Oxford County Animal Rescue is hosting their Wags and Whiskers Walk-a-thon on Sunday at Roth Park.
Registration starts at 10 a.m. and they will be walking the trail. Foster Coordinator Anna Holmes says all of the money raised will go towards a great cause.
"The funds go to help with the vet costs of all of the animals that come into our care. So everybody, when they come into our care, they are all given a check up, cats and dogs are given their specific tests, everyone gets their vaccines and we also spay and neuter because controlling the pet population is one of our primary goals."
They will have prizes for the first walkers who raise over $25 and the walk is happening rain or shine. Holmes says you can also bring your furry friend for the walk.
"Dogs are obviously welcomed, however they must be on a leash and should be friendly with other dogs and people. If you don't have a dog and you just want to come out and walk for us and help us raise some funds, your more than welcome to come out as well of course."
You can sign up the day of the event or register beforehand online at the Oxford Animal Rescue website. They will also be having a micro chip clinic with the assistance of the Oxford County vet clinic.
