Woodstock and Tavistock both suffered a loss in Sunday's Jr C Hockey Action
The Woodstock Navy Vets couldn't get it done in Wellesley Sunday night.
The Applejacks took an early 5-nothing lead mid-way through the second period and the Vets couldn't fight back, falling 5-1 to Wellesley.
The Applejacks had three power play goals and one unsuccessful penalty shot in the game that saw 26 penalty minutes and one game misconduct for Wellesley's Mackenzie Shantz.
Once again, Woodstock's netminder Michael Roefs was busy in goal facing 55 shots.
The Navy Vets will hit the ice again Sunday against New Hamburg in Woodstock. Game time is 7:45 pm.
Over in Tavistock, the Braves battled back hard in the third to try and catch the Delhi Travellers who took a 3-0 lead into the last period. They fell short though, losing 3-2 to Delhi in a game that saw a fair share of its own penalty minutes. A total of 46 minutes were served, with 30 of those minutes being served through game misconducts.
The Braves will travel to Wellesly on Saturday to face off against the Applejacks.
