Middlesex OPP have arrested and charged a Thamesford man. The charges are related to a single car accident taking place Monday, September 4th on Trafalgar Street.
THAMES CENTRE - A laundry list of charges comes after single car accident in Thames Centre.
Middlesex OPP responded to the incident on Monday, September 4th on Trafalgar Street just after 10:30 a.m. The investigation revealed the driver had drank alcohol, and then refused to supply a sample when asked.
Officers arrested the suspect and took them the the Middlesex OPP detachment. Upon further investigation, officers found illicit drugs in the vehicle, including 55 grams of what was suspected cocaine, with an estimated value of $4,675.
As a result, 38-year-old Joshua Jamieson of Thamesford is facing charges under the Criminal Code, Controlled Drug and Substances Act, and Highway Traffic Act.
The charges include, Failure or refusal to comply with demand, Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine, two counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - Opioid (other than heroin), Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking, and Carless driving.
He has been held in custody, awaiting bail.
