"I would say the process is going slower than I would want it but we are still communicating so I remain positive."
INGERSOLL - It's the fourth week of the CAMI Strike.
Negotiations continued on Tuesday between GM and Unifor Local 88 surrounding contract language, economics and job security.
Unifor President Dan Borthwick comments on the progress being made.
"I would say the process is going slower than I would want it but we are still communicating so I remain positive."
Despite the continued talks between Unifor Local 88 and GM, a tentative agreement has not been made.
The Union hosted a public rally last Friday to gain support from it's members and the community.
Borthwick says the rally was a success that brought some positive energy to an otherwise emotional and stressful situation.
"We had a tremendous amount of people out there was a tremendous amount of support from the community, our members, other workers in the community, from across Ontario, so It was a very good rally, provided some energy, it was certainly a positive event last Friday."
The strike effects nearly 2,800 workers at the GM plant in Ingersoll and countless other workers at supplier factories.
