PORT DOVER - A 65-year-old man is safe, thanks to a 12-year-old and a nearby bystander.
According to the Norfolk OPP, he experienced a medical episode while swimming at Port Dover Beach on Saturday. A 12-year-old family member spotted him and pulled him back to shore and a bystander performed CPR to revive him.
Paramedics took him to the hospital, where no serious injuries were reported.
The OPP would like to remind everyone to remain vigilant while swimming. It's recommended that you never swim alone, wear a life jacket and swim in areas with a trained lifeguard nearby.
Thanks to the swift actions of both individuals, the swimmer was revived and transported to hospital. No serious injuries were reported. #NorfolkOPP commends their courageous and swift response. (2/3)
