A detached garage caught fire, and the Woodstock Fire Department quickly suppressed the flames.
WOODSTOCK - A fire in the Friendly City caused property damage.
Public Information Coordinator with the Woodstock Fire Department, Lisa Woods, has the details.
"We got a call at 7:22 in the morning that there was a fire in a garage on Norwich Ave. with smoke and flames showing. When the firefighters arrived, they saw smoke coming from the detached garage and were quickly able to knock down the smouldering fire."
Woods says how they heard about the fire.
"The call in from a neighbour that said that they had actually seen smoke and flames coming from the garage."
Woods says no one was in the home or garage at the time of the fire, and the cause remains under investigation. The estimated cost of the damage is $10,000.
