The middle of this week will be messy and wild according to a special weather statement from Environment Canada
A special weather statement has been issued for all of south western Ontario including Oxford County.
Wednesday is going to be a wild day with the forecast calling for a mix of snow and rain. Meteorologist with Environment Canada Geoff Coulson tells Heart FM at this point it is impossible to say how much precipitation we will get on Wednesday.
"Too early to tell given the fact that even a slight variation in the storm track will likely make a big difference in the amount of rain and snow in the area. The way things are forecast to unfold for this point in time it looks like for the Woodstock area the event will be rain or a messy mix of rain and snow."
Coulson says they wanted to get the special weather statement out early to let everyone know it will be a messy and wacky middle of the week.
"Well I think part of the reason the forecasted wanted to get out the the special weather statement with this amount of notice is to let people know the middle part of this week both Wednesday and Thursday is going to be a messy and/or snowy one, pretty much right across Southern Ontario."
The long term forecast is also calling for the return of snow this weekend.
