The newly designed Toyota Rav4 is showing some impressive numbers since hitting the market earlier this year. Toyota Canada says sales in March are the best ever for the SUV, up 95.7% from March 2012. Last month, 3,635 units of the all-new fourth generation Rav4 were sold, representing their best sales ever. This is good news for Toyota employees in Woodstock, who manufacture the SUV. Total truck sales for Toyota Canada Inc. were also up by 22.9% with 8,551 units sold in March, supported largely by the increased sales of the Rav4. Managing Director of TCI, Larry Hutchinson says "We?re pleased with the momentum that the all-new RAV4 and Avalon have generated. These vehicles demonstrate how Toyota is focused on rolling out exceptional new products that meet the wants and needs of Canadians". Despite the impressive sales of the Rav4 and Toyota trucks, the manufacturer saw a slight decrease in sales last month, down 6.1% from March 2012.
