You have until Tuesday May 21st to register.
WOODSTOCK - This is a last call for those who are interested in participating in this year's Dairy Capital Run.
It's going to takeover Discovery Farm Woodstock on Saturday May 25th. Tuesday May 21st is the registration deadline, and there will be no registrations accepted the day of the event.
Jocelyn Jenner, the Senior Development Officer for the Woodstock Hospital Foundation, says the 5K run will kick everything off at 8:00 a.m., followed by the 2K at 8:30 a.m., and the Lil Hoofers run for ages two to six at 9:00 a.m.
"It's a fun walk/run event. You don't have to be a professional runner to participate, everybody is welcome, but we do chip the runs so those keen runners can know what their time is."
There's also going to be a dairy-themed costume contest with prizes awarded for the best costumes.
Jenner says all of the money raised will help purchase fetal monitors for the Maternal Care Department.
"We don't receive any government funding for equipment. So we really rely on our community, corporations, and individual donors to support our events and fundraising initiatives so we can make sure we have state-of-the-art equipment."
About 300 people have signed up for the Dairy Capital Run so far, and you can add your name to that list by filling out the registration form online here.
Jocelyn Jenner stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan and Marcie this morning. You can listen to the full interview below:
