OXFORD - This is a last call for those who want to apply for one of the grants through the Oxford Community Foundation Maple Leaf Fund.
Executive Director Louise Wardrop says the program has over $36,800 to dish out to local food security programs this year.
"This funding represents more than a financial contribution—it represents lives changed and communities strengthened."
The key focus areas include food literacy, school nutrition, and sustainable initiatives beyond conventional food bank models. All applications have to be submitted online here before the end of the day on April 10th.
The Maple Leaf Community Fund honours the late Harvey and Erma Beaty, Harvey founded Cold Springs Farm in 1949, which eventually became part of Maple Leaf Foods.
