All of the proceeds support veterans and their families.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Royal Canadian Legion is launching its annual Poppy Campaign today.
This means some businesses in Oxford County and across the rest of the country will have poppy boxes available starting today. You can donate whatever amount works for you, and all of the money will support veterans and their families.
The poppy pin is a symbol of Remembrance for those who have fought for our freedom. It is meant to be worn on your left side, over your heart, and it should be worn between the last Friday in October and Remembrance Day. The Legion also encourages people to wear a Poppy pin while attending a funeral for a veteran or while attending a memorial service.
