It is the first weekend of the 2025-26 PJHL regular season, and Oxford County's teams will hit the ice.
PJHL - Games have been played already in the 2025-26 PJHL regular season.
For the teams in Oxford County, the schedule will start tonight and continue over the first weekend of the season.
Starting with the Woodstock Navy Vets, they will begin the season with two home games. First, is their home opener tonight at Southwood Arena when the Wellesley Apple Jacks come to town. Puck drop is slated for 7:45 p.m. and it is a special game night. Fans in attendance will be able to donate to the Woodstock Terry Fox Run.
Next up for the Vets is a date with their Highway 59 rival Norwich Merchants on Sunday afternoon, again at Southwood Arena. Game time is set for 1:45 p.m.
Moving on the aforementioned Merchants, their only other game of the weekend is tonight at Nor-Del Arena as they welcome the New Hamburg Firebirds to town. That will be an 8 p.m. puck drop.
Next is the Tavistock Braves, who will see game action against the Paris Titans tonight and tomorrow. Tonight, the Braves welcome the Titans for a 7:30 p.m. start time, while tomorrow, both teams finish the back half of a home and home at the Brant Sports Complex. Puck drop is also 7:30 p.m.
Lastly, the Thamesford Trojans of the Yeck Division will host the Mount Brydges Bulldogs at the Thamesford Area Recreation Centre tonight at 7:30 p.m., then travel to Lucan to battle the Irish tomorrow at the Lucan Community Centre. Puck drop is set for 8 p.m.
