The Oxford Studio Tour will include 12 locations throughout the county and feature 24 different artists.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Oxford Studio Tour is back for another year, looking to feature 24 local artists who specialize in stained glass, oil, watercolour, and more.
Sue Goosens is one of the organizers and she says it will be a fun event with 12 locations across the county to visit.
"You just drive into the places, there's no fee. You knock on the door, you walk in, you look around, and talk to the artist. Take your time and enjoy it, there's no pressure to buy, but there is pressure to appreciate I suppose."
Goosens, who is also one of the artists being featured on the tour, adds there will be plenty of art across the county to appreciate over the weekend.
"This year we have 24 artists on the tour at 12 locations. They range from myself in Otterville, to Tillsonburg, then up to Ingersoll, Beachville, and over to Woodstock."
She says that it will be easy to identify the locations, with there being a key indicator and signs to make sure visitors know where they're going.
"All locations will be marked with a red sign. Then there will be red signs throughout the county to point you in the right direction to whichever studio you want to go to."
The tour will be active from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday May 4th and Sunday 5th. Descriptions along with maps are featured in full-colour brochures available at art and tourism facilities throughout Oxford and online here.
