Success in Agriculture was celebrated last night at the 12th annual Ag. Awards of Excellence. Among the big winners were Salford Farm Machinery, who took home the prestigious President's Technology Award. Marketing Coordinator for the company explains what the award win means to them. "This is our second nomination, so it was very exciting to be able to bring back an award for all of our staff and it definitely reflects on our great suppliers here in Oxford County as well." The company with over 100 employees develop innovations in farm machinery go out all over the globe. Another proud winner last night was Dr. Allison McDonald of McDonald Mobile Veterinary Service. "Well, it's quite unexpected actually...the Canadian Biofuel company I was up against has done quite a bit of marketing worldwide...this was quite unexpected." Dr. McDonald's service won the Farm Innovation category for her travelling veterinary service that's focused on preventative maintenance of livestock in Oxford County.
