INGERSOLL - The Canterbury festival is excited to welcome back the Mudmen.
The Mudmen, a Celtic Rock band will be featured on the main stage at the event.
Campbell says they have done a lot of work with Don Cherry and Ron Maclean over the years.
"When Ron called us by name, and said 'Mudmen, we love them'. That was pretty good."
The band from Petrolia has accumulated a lot of success over the years, and have become a local favourite.
Campbell tells Heart FM what they will be doing at the concert.
"We will be there on Friday, on the main stage, at 10 p.m. Then we will be involved in some of those workshops they do where they tell stories."
The group has done everything from opening for the Guess Who and Nazareth to appearing in video games, and even playing on Parliment Hill.
Campell talks about how he got into music.
"You know when we were young, my mom was very Scottish. I was supposed to play the fiddle, but I ended up getting the bagpipes. I started when I was 13, we played in pipe bands for years, of course. In 1992, we started touring with the Irish Rover and then John McDermott."
They signed with EMI Records in 2000. Campbell says the rest is history.
The festival will take place from July 8th to the 10th.
