Twenty new beds are being proposed and they would be split between Ingersoll and Woodstock.
INGERSOLL/WOODSTOCK - Transitional and supportive housing could be on the horizon for Ingersoll.
Oxford County Council will be asked to approve $1.15 million in funding from the Homelessness Response Strategy budget to create 20 new beds.
Ten of them would be in Ingersoll, split between two different homes. One would be run by United Way Oxford and the Oxford County Community Health Centre while the other would be operated by CMHA Thames Valley Addiction & Mental Health Services.
A new 10-bed home would also open in Woodstock and it would be run by Assisted Living Care Homes.
County Council will look over this proposal during Wednesday's meeting and it would also have to approve $500,000 annually in operating costs. The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. and you will be able to livestream it online here. You can also read the full agenda here.
