The Loyal Order of the Moose held their Mid-Year Convention in Woodstock recently.
WOODSTOCK - Operating Sharing is reaping the benefits from the Local Order of the Moose, Mid-Year Convention in the Friendly City.
Members from Moose Lodge's across Ontario gathered in Woodstock over the weekend. They have collectively donated over $1,300 alongside a large donation of food and colouring books for kids.
Bob Gaudet, the Administrator of the Woodstock Moose Lodge says the donations will go towards a great cause.
"This is going to Operation Sharing, earmarked for Bullwinkles so they can help the needy and those who are a little destitute have a healthy meal at lunchtime on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a minimal fee."
Operation Sharing Public Relations Representative Vanessa Giuliano is very thankful for their generosity, adding Bullwinkles wouldn't be possible without their support.
"They have kindly donated to us - free of charge - their building covering all of the utilities for us to put on an all you can eat buffet two days a week."
The Loyal Order of the Moose have been holding their Mid-Year Convention since 2013. President Paul Whalen says they are always happy to help the host city.
"The host lodge will pick out a food bank in the city and we will work with them to get the money and the food donations to them."
