It was in the emergency room from 10:55 a.m. to 1:17 p.m. on Monday.
TILLSONBURG - Another case of measles exposure has been reported at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital (TDMH).
Southwestern Public Health is warning people who were in the Emergency Department from 10:55 a.m. to 1:17 p.m. on Monday, March 31st.
Measles is highly contagious and it can live in the air for up to two hours. If you were TDMH emergency room during the affected time frame during that time, you should call the health unit if you were born in 1970 or later and you're not up to date on your vaccinations. The phone number is 1-800-922-0096.
In its last report released on Thursday March 17th, Public Health Ontario said 572 measles cases has been reported in the province since the outbreak began in October, 2024. Over 250 of those cases were reported within the Southwestern Public Health region.
An updated report should be released today.
