It's Spring Clean-up Day

It's spring clean-up day. Anyone wanting to pitch-in to clean up green spaces and areas along the Thames River can help out today. Residents in Woodstock are encouraged to make their way to the city's Parks Department workshop in Southside Park between 8 and 9 a.m. Woodstock Public Works Supervisor Alex Piggott says it's a great way to start the weekend. "We are starting at 8am because we have some people that want to get out there and get a head start on their weekend but if you want to show up at 9am that's not a problem. We will have the bus cycling through the parks yard there and we will be picking up people and moving them to different parts of the city and as we get those areas picked up the bus will be going around and picking up those people and taking them to other areas to be picked up." Residents are advised to dress warm, with a cool morning. Bags and gloves are provided, along with a BBQ lunch after the clean-up. Meantime, Ingersoll has postponed its Thames River Clean-up till next Saturday, the 27th, at 9AM.
