Mayor Jerry Acchione was in for his bi-weekly interview on the Heart FM Morning Show, and discussed what Council will talk about at their upcoming meeting.
WOODSTOCK -
The Heart FM Morning Show hosted Mayor Jerry Acchione.
It is another edition of the bi-weekly interview talking everything Woodstock Council. Mayor Acchione spoke about the 401 Lakeview project and the next steps towards a final decision by the Tribunal.
"I believe it's later this month that the next hearing is going to be. I've not heard too much more beyond that. I know I've had a few local residents approach me and ask me, and it's really in the hands now of the tribunal and the lawyers."
He also mentions there has been changes made to the development plan.
"There was a renegotiation, let's call it, of slightly less units and everything else. So, now the parking isn't even on the table. There's no zone change required or lack of parking. And that's been my real hold up with it."
Acchione hopes this comes to an end soon, as the longer it takes, more money is being spent on lawyers to defend the City's case. He adds it could go longer depending on what the Tribunal decides at the next meeting. Acchione also talked about the waste collection changes coming, along with another development project.
