Ingersoll Mayor Ted Comiskey says he has his hands tied in the latest dispute between Electro Motive Union Members and supporters and their employer Caterpillar. Members of Ingersoll's CAW Local 88 joined forces with other CAW members and disrupted service of a locomotive (pictured here at 11:45pm Wednesday) that was supposed to be shipped to Salford for painting since 5:30 Wednesday morning. The train has been kept in limbo just west of Thames Street in Ingersoll as several CAW Local 88 and Local 27 members (pictured below)keep a 24 hour watch. Comiskey tells Heart-FM he has but a few small requests for the demonstrators. "The only thing I ask is to be fair, be respectful of the town's people and make sure everything is done safely". Comiskey also expressed concern about what the situation means for the local economy. "Here we are, working as much as we can to bring industry to Southern Ontario, to Oxford, to Ingersoll...and this is being crippled a little bit by this."
