It's a fresh start to the second half of the school year for students now attending Laurie Hawkins Public School. The new north Ingersoll school opened its doors to students for the first time this morning. The Thames Valley District School Board had origianlly planned to open the new school in September, but challenges by neighbours of the property delayed the start of construction in 2010. The school is part of a consolodation of the schools in Ingersoll and Beachville that started in September. Heart FM has a reporter at the school this afternoon, and we'll have a full report on how opening day went later this afternoon.
