The contracts of Ontario's hospital executives are going under the microscope today. For the first time, the contracts of Hospital executives are being made public under freedom of information laws. At Woodstock General, CEO Natasa Veljovic's contract shows she makes 250-thousand dollars a year. Plus, Veljovic also gets a leased vehicle and all expenses, plus 12-thousand dollars a year for training. Veljovic didn't take full advantage of it, as she claimed just over 11-thousand in taxible benefits last year. The contracts of Executives at Tillsonburg and Ingersoll Hospitals have been posted today. CEO of both hospitals Tom McHugh is shown to be locked in at a salary of 220-thousand dollars a year until 2014. McHugh also gets 6-weeks vacation, and the lease of a vehicle and all operating expenses. The exact amount is not disclosed. In London, the Free Press reports Chief Executives there are receiving 1200 to 1400-dollars per month in car allowance. Ontario's New Democrats say it's time to cap salaries and cut lucrative benefits given to CEOs and executives at the province's hospitals.
