Representatives from DASO will be at the Woodstock Home Depot today in order to shine a light on the Orange Door Project. It looks to end youth homelessness across Canada.
OXFORD - Domestic Abuse Services Oxford (DASO) staff are coming to Home Depot Woodstock.
It's the first year that Home Depot Woodstock has partnered with DASO for the Orange Door Project after they were nominated by a staff member. The Orange Door Project is Home Depot Canada Foundation's bi-annual fundraising campaign to help end youth homelessness across the country.
Communications Manager at DASO Samantha White explains what is going on at the Woodstock store today.
"We're going to set up a table with more information on the services and where your donated dollars are going to be allocated and how we will use that money. You have an opportunity to come into the store, donate, and then ask questions about what we do and how we're partnering with Home Depot."
DASO will be on location from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Oxford County residents can donate to the cause until Sunday either online here or at Home Depot Woodstock. 100% of all local donations will help support DASO’s Residential and Transitional Support Programs. If you choose to donate online, select the Woodstock location to ensure your money stays local.
The Home Depot Canada Foundation will also launch fundraising by donating $2,000 on behalf of each store.
