Two city run vehicles are currently running with HydraGen units, which help to reduce gas costs and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
WOODSTOCK - The City of Woodstock has started a fuel saving pilot project.
This was made possible thanks to some funding from the Federal Gas Tax Fund. A transit bus and a City recycling truck have been fitted with HydraGen units. This is a small attachment to the vehicles and can convert distilled water into pure oxygen and hydrogen.
The pure oxygen and hydrogen are added the fuel stream. This improves combustion and efficiency and results in savings at the pump between 6% and 19%.
The HydraGen units also help to lower greenhouse gases.
