Norfolk OPP have some tips for everyone heading to Port Dover for the Friday the 13th celebrations today.
PORT DOVER - You'll be able to spot lots of motorcycles on the roads today.
About 200,000 people will be attending the Friday the 13th celebrations in Port Dover.
Norfolk OPP Constable Ed Sanchuk has some tips for the bikers heading south-east.
"If you are coming into Port Dover you can anticipate long delays. With that being said we're asking all motorcycle operators to bring extra bottles of water just in case they're in long lines of traffic; that will keep them hydrated."
He adds they also should not be texting or taking pictures while on the roads.
There will be an increased police presence over the weekend. Sanchuk says officers will be cracking down on drivers impaired by alcohol or drugs.
"It's causing innocent deaths on our roadways that don't need to happen. We're just asking everyone to please do the sensible and right thing. Make sure you plan ahead; stay overnight or have a designated driver."
