Myles Goodwyn died yesterday.
HALIFAX - The former lead singer of Canadian rock band April Wine has passed away.
Myles Goodwyn died at the age of 75 in Halifax yesterday, the same city where the band was formed in 1969.
April Wine sold over 10 million recordings worldwide and it was known for several hit songs including Roller and Just Between You and Me. The band was also added to Canada's Walk of Fame this fall.
Goodwyn stepped away from April Wine earlier this year but was still playing live shows.
His publicist Eric Alper says he was a breath of fresh air and one of the greatest songwriters of the classic rock era.
Goodwyn's cause of death has not been released at this time.
