A Woodstock high-rise apartment building was cleared out by a fire today. The a unit at 600 Chieftain St. caught fire just before the noon hour today. Firefighters arrived quickly and extinguished the blaze, minimizing the damage, which was contained to just one apartment. The two residents that lived there will be displaced, but were not hurt. The cause is still under investigation, while damage is pegged at 30-thousand dollars.
