Residents evacuated from Conestoga Road after a call about a possible explosive device
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock residents were evacuated Friday following the report of a possible explosive at a Conestoga Road home.
City Police searched the home and discovered a suspicious item which was later removed and detonated by the Waterloo Regional Police Service Special Response Unit.
Police say while the item was suspicious in nature, it was not an explosive.
As a result, 31 year old Michael Ketchabaw of Woodstock is charged with mischief and theft under $5000.
No one was injured and everyone was able to return to their homes.
