The Navy Vets win 5-1 over Dorchester
DORCHESTER - The Woodstock Navy Vets won 5-1 in Dorchester in their 2nd exhibition game of the season on Thursday night.
Michael Nutt scored a goal just over 5 minutes into the game to get the Vets started, Dan Haig scored two, Mike Gillespie and rookie Jared Lindsay scored the other goals.
The Navy Vets are now 1-1 in 2 exhibition games and will meet Delhi on Saturday night in Tillsonburg.
The Navy Vets dressed 13 players who were with the team last season and they played a very strong game against the defending Southern Ontario league champion Dolphins, who sported a lineup with 10 returnees from their OHA quarterfinal team last year.
