What will Oxford County look like in 20-years? Public input sought on future growth forecasts.

Oxford County is looking for public input on some of the assumptions being made about how local communities will grow over the next two decades.

The report delves into future projections for population growth, the number of households, the job market and the need for future employment lands.

The draft report was tabled in December, and so far, public input on the projections has been scarce.

Manager of Strategic Policy Planning, Paul Michaels tells Heart FM, "It's really looking at assumptions and trends that were factored into coming up with those forecasts.  If the public has any input or knowledge with respect to any upcoming local trends that may affect business or the housing environment, those are the types of input and feedback that we're looking for."

One of the major storylines to emerge from the report is the future need for additional employment lands in Woodstock and Ingersoll.

You have until the end of this week, February 21st, to submit your comments on the growth projections report.

It will be part of an ongoing review on Oxford County's 5-Year Official Plan.
