Woodstock Police report a 27% increase in collisions so far this year.
Drivers might blame it on the weather and road conditions, but police say 'not so fast'.
There has been a significant increase in crashes in Woodstock since January 1st. So far this year, police have responded to 190 collisions. That's compared to 138 in the same time frame last year.
Police have charged 70 drivers in those crashes with Highway Traffic Act infractions, saying it's not so much the snow and ice, as it is drivers not adjusting to weather and road conditions.
Topping the list of charges are careless driving and failing to stop for a red light.
