The Canadian Auto Workers union isn't naming the company, but says it's making progress in contract talks with one of the Big Three North American automakers. Is it with General Motors, Ford, or Chrysler? The wage proposal before the company would see new employees earn less when they're hired and take longer to reach the top end of the wage scale. The union has threatened job action if there is no deal by midnight Monday, although the union says the deadline could be extended if there's progress at the bargaining table.
