BRANTFORD - Historic planes will be taking to the skies at the Brantford Airport.
The annual Community Charity Airshow will be taking place tomorrow, with the gates opening at 11 a.m. and the show beginning at 2 p.m.
Al Mickeloff, the Marketing Manager with the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, says this year's show will feature a world exclusive event.
"We're going to have Heritage Flight at the Brantford Show; which is the CF-18 demo flying in formation without Avro Lancaster. That never happens anywhere, only in Brantford this year."
The show will also feature the B-29 Superfortress; an American bomber from World War II.
Mickeloff says you can get up close and personal with some of the planes beforehand.
"Before the airshow several of the aircrafts will be on static display so people can get up close to the. I have to let you know that the B-29 Superfortress, CF-18 Hornet and the Avro Lancaster will not be landing at the airport this year due to the runway length."
Admission is free but parking costs $20 a vehicle. Mickeloff suggests arriving early, so you're not stuck in traffic when the show begins.
All of the money raised will benefit the Rotary Club of Brantford and the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.
