Woodstock City Council approved a more than $31 million Capital Budget for 2023 during last night's meeting.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock City Council has officially approved the 2023 Capital Budget.
Amidst a busy three-hour meeting, Council passed next year's Capital Budget and 2024-2027 Capital Forecast unanimously with relative ease.
Important notes include the approval of a 2023 interim tax levy and the borrowing of no more than $5 million. All budget amendments were also approved unanimously.
Some of the big highlights from the 2023 Capital Budget include a more than $5 million investment towards the South Gate Centre expansion and renovation, $5.7 million for road reconstruction projects, and $1 million to replace a fire truck.
