Over 90 items are included in the online auction and the bidding closes at 4:00 p.m. this Sunday.
OXFORD COUNTY - It was a successful PetSmart Adoption Month for the Oxford County Animal Rescue (OCAR).
Foster Coordinator Anna Holmes says they were able to find homes for 28 animals in March, plus they still have some adoptions being processed.
She's always happy to see the animals in their care find their forever homes, or even a temporary home with a foster family. If you're unable to bring home a furry friend, Holmes says a great way to help support the OCAR is to check out the online auction that's going on right now.
"People are pretty used to seeing our Christmas auction but not our Spring auction. So I'm thinking maybe a lot of people don't know about it because we have a lot of items they don't even have bids yet!"
The bidding closes at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday April 6th, and Holmes says they have lots of great items up for grabs.
"Lots of really beautiful giftware that came from a store that closed and they were really generous to donate it to us. So we have lots of Easter things, lots of things for Mom for Mother's Day, and lots of toys for the kids."
The animal rescue has a special Facebook page set up for the auction, so all you have to do is comment on the item you would like to bid on. All bids have to increase by at least $2 and a complete list of rules can be found on the Facebook page.
COBS Bread in Woodstock is also showing its support to the rescue. It had a promotion last month, where every $5 donation would give you a ballot, where you would be entered for a chance to win a load of bread once a week for a whole year. With this Saturday being Donation Day, COBS is also donating $2 from every package of hot cross buns sold.
